Peaches!

Peaches, plums, apricots and early apples! It must be late summer. Hmmmm.

What could be better than sweet, drippy peaches and yellow plums over homemade ice cream, after some Silver Queen corn-on-the-cob and heirloom tomatoes. This is the time of year we live for.

Enjoy it while you can. Nippy nights have started to turn the trees, here and there. You-know-what is just around the corner.

Hi Paula,

I keep losing you, because I can't follow you here. (Blogger does make that, at least, easy)

Autumn is not only just around the corner, we haven't even had a summer yet. And are unlikely to have one now.

All I can do is stuff myself with peaches (from France and Spain) and other luscious fruits and look out upon the horse chestnut tree which is already turning into the symbol of autumn.
